Peep Pops

allison5040

cannot bake, it's true.  I think baking is just to rigid an art form for me.  Too much math and not enough wiggle room for a dash of this and a dash of that.  Now that you know this about me, you might wonder why I am always posting pics of and/or talking about my obsession with sprinkles?  Well that is easy, I love to take things that are already prepared and decorate them.  Decorating is my thing!

Since my kiddos attention span isn't that long this little activity is perfect.  It involves, sugar, sprinkles, and its super fast and easy.  All around this is a perfect activity for the family!

YIELD: Makes 20 servings

ACTIVE TIME: 20 minutes

TOTAL TIME: 35 Minutes

INGREDIENTS

  • 1 package of 20 peeps

  • 1 package of candy melts or chocolate melts (12 ounces)

  • 20 lollipop sticks

  • 1 package (or more) of sprinkles

Follow the candy melts package instruction to melt candy or chocolate.  While the candy is melting, line one cookie sheet with wax paper.  Next, dip bottom third of peeps into candy melts one at a time.  As soon as the peep has been adequately coated and excess has dripped off, sprinkle with sprinkles!  Then place peep on the wax paper to dry (10 minutes or so).  When the peep has cooled, push lollipop stick in through the bottom of the peep.    Afterwards, I wrapped ours in Wilton's Cake ball bagd and tied up with bakers twine and a High Cotton Paperie enclosure card!
