I am not going to lie, I probably get more excited about pretend play then my kiddos. This is not to say that they don't love it, they do, but I get into the set up and the props and they use their imagination so much more than me. When my sons teachers asked if I would help with a polling place on Election Day I jumps at the opportunity! And the following printables are from that project.

The second graders all read two books, "Grace for President" and "Duck for President" during their social studies election unit. Then on Election Day they brought their voter ID card to our booth and voted for either Duck or Grace. Grace won in a landslide, which for those who aren't familiar with these books, is good news about these future voters. She is much more responsible than Duck.

I used these printables at home with my preschoolers as well. The twins brought their voter ID cards (with crayon self portraits) to the polling booth too! Happy pretend play, friends.
