Toddy Tuesday: Bourbon Cider Cocktail

allison5040

I love the idea of eating in season…so why not drink in season too!  I struck out on my seasonal cocktail quest on Pinterest and then Epicurious and then Google.  Nothing really stuck with me so I went with what I know and came up with this little beverage.  It is GOOD!  Seriously, and it is festive, and I love to be festive!

Bourbon Cider Cocktail

½ oz. Pumpkin Spice Caramel Syrup

1.5 oz Bourbon (I used Woodford Reserve…go with the good stuff)

2 oz. Hard Apple Cider or Apple Cider (I used Crispin Artisanal Reserve Honey Crisp)

Put a handful of ice in your cocktail shaker.  Pour ½ ounce of syrup and 1 ½ ounces of bourbon over the ice and shake.  Pour over ice and top off with 2 or more ounces of apple cider.

Cheers, y'all!
