Good Old Fashioned Fun: Gumdrop Tree

I have never had a gumdrop tree in my house, nor was it a tradition growing up.  However, we have one now.  My Mom gave the kids one for Christmas.  She remembered her grandmother having one when she was a kid.  She thought it was out at Easter, not Christmas.  So the kids and I ran with that idea.

I picked up some Brach's Candy at the grocery store and we went to it.  The kids may have had a few jelly beans in the process of designing their tree, but that's all part of it.  Now to keep them from eating the decor between now and Easter Sunday Brunch!

The gumdrop tree was purchased at Mast General Store.  If you are ever near one of their locations I absolutely insist that you go!  I have been to the original location and it is darling.  Perfect place to grab a Moonpie and a RC.
